Sea Pro Fishing Boats

Sea Pro Boats began operation in 1987 and wa sofunded by the Hancock family. The family had a long experience in designing water crafts and they wanted to put their skills to use by making high quality saltwater fishing vessels that were priced to be accessible to the general market.

The first boat model produced by Sea Pro was an 18 footer center console. They were originally for sale at a Boat dealer in Baltimore. That was the only model the company made for the first 3 years, but they then added 2 other models. These were 21 and 22 foot walk arounds and center consoles. With the company`s growth and the popularity of these models, the company soon needed to expand. They relocated to a larger factory in 1991, and then again in 1996 where they now reside in a state of the art manufacturing facility. Sea Pro now boasts nearly 350 employees, and they have added the Palmetto Custom, Sea Boss, and Skiffs models to their line. They also produce center consoles, dual consoles, walk arounds, and bay versions that range in length from 17-27 feet.

In 2004 the Brunswick Corporation purchased Sea Pro. Brunswick has attempted to enhance the Sea Pro line with its own innovative know-how. The newly mergered company has made great use of the Mercury and Mariner outboard engines, the Mercury MerCruiser sterndrives and inboard engines, Motorguide motors for trolling, Teignbridge props, and MotoTron electronic control components. They also utilize Navman GPS products, IDS dealer management, and Attwood marine parts.
